THE TRAILBLAZER
THE TRAILBLAZER
Your "Go-to" linen blazer for making a statement. With a shawl collar in a striking zebra-print cotton deadstock lapel, it's bold, playful, and packed with personality!
Designed with light shoulder pads to give just the right amount of structure, and lined in a vibrant tangerine viscose twill for a contrasting pop of colour. There is a jetted pocket on each side, plus one more on the inside.
We've given this blazer a hi-low curved hem to elongate the front and give an elegant flow to the back. And if you can't get enough of the print, just fold back the cuffs for a little extra!
Whether you're wearing this to work, out for lunch with the girls, or just to run errands, this blazer gives you confidence with every step!

Style this linen blazer as a suit by pairing it with the matching Follow My Lead Wide-Leg Pant in emerald green for a chic, coordinated look. Or, make a bold statement with the same pant style in the lavender and black stripe print.
Consider styling with pieces from your existing wardrobe as well. Try it with jeans, a denim skirt, or cropped straight-leg pants in a neutral colour for a more relaxed vibe. For the best look, choose collarless tops to wear underneath, allowing the lapel to stand out without competing for attention.

Keep your linen blazer fresh by hanging or laying it flat in the shade to air out when needed. Linen is resistant to odours and bacteria, and rarely needs washing. Due to the lining and shoulder pads, we recommend dry cleaning (the blazer) only.
For the cotton lapel, spot clean as needed. Gently dab with a damp cloth and mild soap. Avoid rubbing too harshly to prevent damage to the fabric.

Is Mad Nomad a plus sized brand?
We currently offer sizes ranging from 14-24 (NZ/AUS). While some may classify this range as “plus size”, we simply see them as sizes for women. I decided to start with this range because I believe these sizes are often overlooked in the market and deserve attention. In the future, I’d like Mad Nomad’s size range to expand to include sizes 6-30. However, we’re taking a slow approach to make sure we nail the perfect fit of our current range before doing so.
How do I know what my size is?
I recommend referring to our size guide (link located under the price of each product), which provides detailed measurements for each size. Please don’t rely on traditional “plus sizes”, as our range is quite different. Given the variation in sizing across brands, I encourage you to go by your own measurements. If you need personalised assistance or have any questions, let's set up a 15 min Q&A session via phone or Zoom - BOOK NOW – I’m here to help you find the perfect fit!
Are your garments sustainably made?
Yes, sustainability lies at the heart of Mad Nomad. While it’s important to understand that every fabric choice carries an environmental impact, I’m dedicated to choosing materials and production methods that minimise our footprint on the planet. As someone relatively new to the sustainability side of the fashion industry, I’m constantly learning. I am committed to staying informed about new, innovative materials and processes to continually improve our practices.
Where are your clothes manufactured?
Our sewn garments are proudly made-to-order in Canterbury, NZ, by a total superstar named Renee, and for our merino knits we have been working with Textile Creations in Auckland, NZ. You can read more about our process and sustainability efforts here.
What is the process for ordering?
