Equal parts pretty and edgy, the "Bow to No One Blouse" is made from a Linen/Cotton blend in a very cool floral print with soft shades of pink, peach, and accents of black, (which reminded me of one of my favourite '80s videos, "Take on Me" by A-HA).

Features of this blouse include its ruched, elasticated straps that stay securely on your shoulders - wide enough to cover your bra straps! The sweetheart neckline offers a lovely shape while ensuring full coverage across the chest and under the arms. You'll find the back is shirred to the waist, to offer comfort and stretch, while the front is fitted and shaped through the torso, with a soft front pleat that flows into a gently curved hem and a more relaxed fit across the mid-section.

The bows add a touch of contrast and weight to the design, giving it just the right amount of attitude. Plus they're detachable! We've made them into brooches so that you can place them wherever you like, or remove them completely to wash the blouse, or to get a smooth look under jackets and cardigans.

Notes:

  • Bibi is wearing a size 18.
  • Her measurements are: Height 178cm (with a long torso and shorter legs); Bust 114cm; Waist 99cm; Hips 115cm.

For a chic and fresh look, pair the "Bow to No One Blouse" with our Follow My Lead Wide-Leg Linen Pant in emerald green, or go for an edgier vibe with the lavender and black striped version.

The floral print's neutral palette makes it easy to style with a variety of bottoms in any colour, including jeans, tailored shorts, or statement trousers.

Wear the blouse with the bows for added charm, or remove them, so you can layer smoothly under a jacket or cardigan, and use the bows as brooches to accent other parts of your outfit - or even as a hair accessory!

To maintain the shape and drape of the fabric, lay flat or hang to dry in the shade. Do not tumble dry. Iron inside out, on warm to hot setting.

FAQs (click for details)

Is Mad Nomad a plus sized brand?

We currently offer sizes ranging from 14-24 (NZ/AUS). While some may classify this range as “plus size”, we simply see them as sizes for women. I decided to start with this range because I believe these sizes are often overlooked in the market and deserve attention. In the future, I’d like Mad Nomad’s size range to expand to include sizes 6-30. However, we’re taking a slow approach to make sure we nail the perfect fit of our current range before doing so.

How do I know what my size is?

I recommend referring to our size guide (link located under the price of each product), which provides detailed measurements for each size. Please don’t rely on traditional “plus sizes”, as our range is quite different. Given the variation in sizing across brands, I encourage you to go by your own measurements. If you need personalised assistance or have any questions, let's set up a 15 min Q&A session via phone or Zoom - BOOK NOW – I’m here to help you find the perfect fit!

Are your garments sustainably made?

Yes, sustainability lies at the heart of Mad Nomad. While it’s important to understand that every fabric choice carries an environmental impact, I’m dedicated to choosing materials and production methods that minimise our footprint on the planet. As someone relatively new to the sustainability side of the fashion industry, I’m constantly learning. I am committed to staying informed about new, innovative materials and processes to continually improve our practices.

Where are your clothes manufactured?

Our sewn garments are proudly made-to-order in Canterbury, NZ, by a total superstar named Renee, and for our merino knits we have been working with Textile Creations in Auckland, NZ. You can read more about our process and sustainability efforts here
